These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of PinFixIt (the "Service"), operated by PinFixIt ("we", "us", "our"). By creating an account, starting a demo, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.
1. PinFixIt is in beta
PinFixIt is under active development and offered as a public beta. Features, data models, and pricing may change, and the Service may experience bugs, downtime, or data resets while we iterate. We'll try to give advance notice of any change that materially affects your data or your bill, but the beta label means things can move quickly. Use the Service accordingly — don't rely on it as your only record of critical business data without keeping your own backups (for example, exporting income figures periodically).
2. Accounts
You sign in with a Discord or Google account, or by starting a temporary demo account. You're responsible for the activity that happens under your account and for keeping your login secure. Provide accurate information and don't share your account with people it isn't meant for.
Demo accounts are provided for evaluation only, are not intended to hold real business data, and may be deleted or expire automatically without notice.
3. Locations, roles, and technicians
The Service is organized around "locations" — the venues, routes, or floors where your games live. Each location has one or more admins, who manage the location's settings, billing, and membership, and may invite technicians, who get working access to a location's tickets and games without needing a subscription of their own.
If you're an admin, you're responsible for who you invite to your location and what access you grant them. If you're a technician, your access to a location can be revoked by that location's admins at any time, for any reason.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- Violate any applicable law, or the rights of any third party;
- Upload or transmit malicious code, or attempt to disrupt or gain unauthorized access to the Service or other users' data;
- Scrape, resell, or use the Service to build a competing product without our written permission;
- Impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation with a location; or
- Submit ticket reports, comments, or other content that is unlawful, abusive, or knowingly false.
We may suspend or terminate access for accounts that violate this section.
5. Ticket reports from your customers
The Service lets anyone scan a game's QR code and submit a repair report without creating an account. If you're a location admin or technician, you're responsible for how you use the contact information (such as an email address) submitted through those reports — for example, only using it to follow up on the reported issue.
6. Subscriptions and billing
While PinFixIt is in beta, every feature described on our pricing page is free to use, including unlimited technicians. When we end the beta, location admins will be asked to opt in to the Premium Plan (currently priced at $14.99/month) to keep creating and running locations, and we'll give existing accounts advance notice before that change takes effect. Technicians never pay for their own access, in beta or after.
Paid subscriptions are billed and processed by Paddle.com, acting as our merchant of record. Paddle handles payment collection, taxes, and invoicing on our behalf, and their terms apply to the payment transaction in addition to these Terms. You can cancel a subscription at any time from your account settings; cancellation stops future billing but does not retroactively refund amounts already charged, except where required by law.
7. Third-party services
Parts of the Service integrate with third-party platforms — including Discord (for sign-in and our optional bot integration), Google (for sign-in), and Paddle (for billing). Your use of those platforms is subject to their own terms, and we aren't responsible for their availability or conduct.
8. Intellectual property
We own the Service, including its software, design, and branding. You retain ownership of the data you enter into the Service (locations, games, tickets, income entries, and so on), and you grant us the license needed to host, process, and display that data back to you in order to operate the Service.
9. Disclaimer of warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. GIVEN THE SERVICE'S BETA STATUS, WE DON'T GUARANTEE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR LOSS-FREE OPERATION.
10. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, PINFIXIT WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, OR DATA, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATED TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM AROSE, OR (B) $100.
11. Termination and account deletion
You can delete your account at any time from your account settings. Deleting your account cancels your subscription, and permanently deletes any location where you are the sole admin — along with that location's games, tickets, income records, and Discord integrations. Locations you share admin duties on stay intact for the remaining admins; you're simply removed from them. This action can't be undone.
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if you violate these Terms, or if we discontinue the Service or a feature of it. We'll try to give reasonable notice when practical.
12. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as the Service evolves. If we make a material change, we'll post the updated Terms here with a new "Last updated" date, and where practical, let active accounts know. Continuing to use the Service after a change takes effect means you accept the updated Terms.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles, unless otherwise required by the mandatory law of your place of residence.
